What Drives Me

I'm Ayub Ahmed, Founder & Lead Engineer at Ayub Tech, a full-stack software engineer based in Kenya working with startups and established businesses — across Kenya and beyond — to turn ideas into websites and applications built to last, not just to launch. I build using tools like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB — but what matters to you is simpler: every website or system I build should load quickly, work reliably, and stay secure, no matter how big or small the project is. Every site I build also works smoothly across any screen — phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop — so your customers get the same experience no matter what device they're using. Much of my work involves helping businesses move day-to-day operations — records, inventory, bookings, and more — off paper and manual processes and onto systems built specifically around how they actually work. Beyond the build itself, I make sure your website is set up to be found — optimized to load fast, rank well on Google, and give your business real visibility online, not just a page that exists. You can see examples of this in my projects below. My path into this field began during my Diploma in Business Information Technology at KCA University, completed with distinction. One unit — Web Design and Development — showed me how much thought and detail goes into even the simplest-looking website, and that curiosity has stayed with me since. That same business background still shapes how I work today: before I write a single line of code, I listen — not just to what's being asked for, but to the actual problem behind it.
